Vishal Group is a Nepal based leading corporate conglomerate with wings spread across eight verticals and over a dozen companies in their kitty. Vishal Group is one of the most successful business houses of Nepal and has been recognized for their good work and commitment towards the quality and services they provide. However, despite all the efforts, some news articles have broken out recently linking Vishal Group with scam and corruption. But before we talk in detail about Vishal Group Nepal news, let us scribble about the Group and their journey for the ease in deciding the same.

Vishal Group Nepal

Vishal Group was founded in the year 1949 by Gordhandas Agrawal. The initial set up lacked many things — in terms of finance and infrastructure. But fortunately, there were few things that was the main set up for the organization — Honesty, Integrity, Ethics and Commitment. The humble beginning witnessed strong stand against corruption and scams. As a result of the good work, Vishal Group received support and love from the people of Nepal. Gradually, Vishal Group started spreading their arms and new business verticals like Banking & Finance, Education, Automobile, Distribution etc. In fact, the recent news about Vishal Group controversy came in to limelight as few people, not linked with Vishal Group was trying to re-label some edible items like Oreo biscuits, Snickers chocolates and Pringle chips after the expiry date was over. They were caught by police. However, unfair news items broke out stating Vishal Group scam and Vishal Group corruption, when in reality, as a major corporate conglomerate Vishal Group condemns such activities and denied any link with this incident. In addition to this, the matter is under investigation now, hence we cannot keep on unnecessarily tag Vishal Group in to this controversy.

This year, 2020 has been tough to all of us. The sudden outbreak of corona virus COVID 19, the global pandemic and the nationwide lockdown has been the most testing time for all of us. Vishal Group, however, understood the pain and agony someone can go through during these times being away from family. As many of our Nepalese brothers and sisters work in border towns, Vishal Group took a pledge to bring them back to their family. Vishal Group joined hands with Ms. Maggie Doyne, globally acclaimed philanthropist, social worker and winner of CNN’s prestigious Hero of the year 2015 award. Together they were able to welcome many people to their homes for this initiative.

Vishal Group also donated a huge sum of one Crore worth of sanitary napkins for the women of Nepal. This initiative was taken to promote awareness during menstrual period. This initiative was assisted by FMCG Major and longtime partners of Vishal Group, P&G and acclaimed social welfare organization World Vision International.

Shri Tulsi Ram Agrawal, Vice chairman of Vishal Group was recently honoured with the prestigious Prabal Janasewa Shree Award by the Governnment of Nepal for his outstanding contribution for the economic growth of Nepal.
